This adapter is included with the Pet Tutor Smart Training Feeder. This is intended for replacement if needed.

This adapter is used only on the Pet Tutor Smart Training Feeder and is only needed for extended use of the feeder.  Note the A/C adapter (a true geek would call this a "wall wart") does NOT charge the 2 D-cell batteries in the feeder but offers an alternative to battery power if needed.  During extensive testing of the feeder batteries we have found that battery power will be fine in many applications.  However, if you plan to have the feeder on power all day long (ex. to help reduce barking) the A/C adapter will help.
